Administrative

This team of volunteers helps our Office Coordinator, Laura Podgorny, on an as-needed basis with: special mailings, setting up for events, and general clerical work. We could also use additional helpers to serve as substitutes, assisting volunteers already in place, for sending the church's informational e-mails and keeping the website updated. To help offset office expenses, donations of postage stamps and cases of copy paper are cheerfully accepted.
Card Making

The group meets once a month, usually on the 3rd Tuesday, from 7-9:00 p.m. at the church to make cards for members of the Crossroads Church family. The cards range from thank you to missing you; sympathy to congratulations; and everything in-between. We work from a list of about 10-15 names of people needing cards and end the evening in prayer over the cards and their recipients.
As seasoned card makers we all have a lot of supplies that we love to share, and provide instruction for beginners.. So, if you would like to join us one evening and see if this is a ministry you would like to connect with, just come!
Coffee

There's something welcoming about a hot cup of coffee or tea to a first-time visitor, especially when served by a smiling face! Regular attenders really look forward to getting their morning java too. It's one of those "behind-the-scenes" ministries that, if it were missing, would truly be missed. More folks are needed to prepare, refill, clean up or even purchase supplies. We welcome donations of cups, (matching) lids, sugar packets, stirrers, tea bags, creamer cups or just cash to help offset the cost to the church. Most of the team members share the duties by doing the set-up (from 7:30-9:30 AM) or tear down (from 10:00AM-12:00PM) person. The time commitment can be just 2 hours on any given Sunday, and you can enjoy the service during your shift.
Connection

The Connection Team consists of those people greeting, passing out programs, doing announcements, and hanging out at the info table; that is, helping people get connected at Crossroads. However, ALL OF US who call Crossroads our home church are really on the Connection Team - because we all have the honor of making church warm and inviting by making a special attempt each week to meet someone new or make someone feel welcomed!
Maintenance

To keep our facility running and looking nice, help is needed from time to time for handyman work, general clean-up, and yard work/gardening. If you are available to contact on occasion for fixing things up and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the service team for you (and us)!
Meals

Providing meals, in whole or part ... for church functions; for folks recovering from illness or surgery; and for shut-ins is what this team is all about! If you love to cook, join the team. If you can't make water boil, you can still join the team - by donating paper goods, plastic ware, bottled water and yes, even cash is accepted to help with food shopping.
